Choosing Faith over Fear – The Battle of Anxiety and Depression
The reason we develop anxiety comes from the lack of faith in ourselves and what we are capable of doing. Faith and awareness are the keys to any success.
Anxiety and depression are caused by suppressing emotions. Why? Why do we suppress emotions? We suppress because our paradigms are limiting who we really are in essence and what we are capable of doing. Paradigms are a set of ideas in our mind that manage our habitual behaviors.
When we are born, we don’t have a conscious mind, we can’t process thoughts, create plans and ideas or judge others. The subconscious mind is the mind that gathers everything we experience since the very beginning, especially in establishing our own set of beliefs. Also known as our paradigms.
We have no access or control over our subconscious mind, but we can learn how to manage our subconscious mind by attaching positive emotions to an experience.
Anxiety is the suppression of emotions when we don’t know how to manage them. Anxiety turns into suppression; suppression turns into depression and depression turns into disintegration or death.
The reason we develop anxiety comes from the lack of faith in ourselves and what we are capable of doing. Faith and awareness are the key for any success.
Both fear and faith require us to believe in something that we can’t see or validate, and both come from the same place, our mind. Every second we choose to live our life through one or the other, it is as simple as a choice and that choice determines how we perceive and experience our lives.
Earlier I mentioned suppression leading to depression. This is true in so many circumstances of our lives. The opposite of suppression is expression. When you suppress emotions it weighs you down, when you express how you truly feel you don’t have to carry it with you. It is much healthier and easier to deal with the difficult circumstances at the moment.
Imagine if you choose every moment in your life to live through the firm belief in yourself and your capacity to create the world and the life you want.
You can only do that through the conscious action of faith. Fear is nothing else but the ignorance of this knowledge and awareness.
If you have been experiencing anxiety or depression, I want to suggest a couple of herbs that help to manage these symptoms.
Hypericum or St John’s Wort to manage depression.
Ashwagandha to manage anxiety and stress.
If you can’t see yourself controlling these symptoms seek professional help before these get out of hand. As a member of the council for suicide prevention and a certified MHFA I have to advise you to talk to a professional like me to help you to overcome these symptoms. Anxiety and depression are manageable and curable, please don’t wait.
